James M Morris, President, Hearing Specialist
Jim has been practicing in the field of audiology as a hearing specialist since 1998. Three years later he purchased Audio Hearing Aid Service and changed the name to HEARINC. Since purchasing HEARINC he has reorganized it to provide full service hearing and vertigo/balance diagnostics. HEARINC delivers lifestyle based solutions for each individual patient.
Prior to1998 for more than twenty years Jim filled several corporate positions from engineering technology to business management to Vice President of Sales and Marketing for GE, ABB, and Fireye. His corporate experience was mainly in nuclear power plant technology, complemented with industrial applications and computer chip manufacturing technologies. Jim applied the customer focus and technical applications experience gained in industry, to develop HEARINC as a customer satisfaction driven organization. To accomplish that end he has applied the latest in technology along with ongoing training and superior products.
Jim received a bachelor of science degree in Aerospace and Manufacturing from Kent State University in 1973. While employed by GE and ABB continuing education was provided in technology, marketing and business management. Jim became interested in the field of audiology in 1998 because his father, grandfather and several uncles who worked in industry or and served in World War II suffered hearing loss. Most of them constantly complained about their problem and their solutions. With his corporate background in problem diagnostics and solutions applications along with computer applications experience; Jim felt he may be able to take a different approach to correcting hearing loss at a time when the Hearing Aid Industry was transitioning to digital technology.
In 1999 Jim moved back to Ohio to help his family deal with his mother's Alzheimer's. A friend asked him to evaluate and make changes to his hearing aid dispensing business since Jim was already considering the field of audiology. The timing was perfect and offered an opportunity to pursue understanding the technology and business of audiology. As previously mentioned Jim purchased a practice in 2001, renamed it HEARINC and transitioned it to being a hearing and balance diagnostics and solutions practice. Jim feels his greatest satisfaction comes from helping people with difficult hearing and balance situations regain confidence to "Join in Conversations" and conquer balance/dizziness to get their lives back.
